Maison du Parc - Botrange.
If you dream of escaping to a unique corner of nature in Belgium, come and discover the peaks of our country in an original way on board one of our "charabancs" or covered wagons, in reference to these carts once pulled by some horses and used to attend mass. Double originality: our covered wagons are pulled by a tractor!
We offer you a commented 18km circuit which is played in 2 hours through forest trails and the Fagnard moors. Several stops are planned to help you discover exceptional sites, such as the waterfall of Bayehon, the monument of aviators with a beautiful Fagnard landscape in the background, the Walloon Fagne, etc.
Not only will you spend a pleasant moment of relaxation and conviviality, but you can also, through the information guide, gain knowledge about the moorland, bogs, climate, Fagnard rivers, typical hedges of our villages and other features of the Haut Plateau.
Wanting to get away to a corner of nature that’s unique in Belgium? Take your seat aboard a charabanc drawn by a tractor! The team from the Maison du Parc-Botrange offers you a trail of about 18 km complemented by audio commentary. Explore the forest paths, marshy moors, and numerous remarkable sites such as the Bayehon waterfall, the Aviators’ Monument, the Russian Camp and the great Walloon Fen. The charabanc has 22 seats: an original activity to be experienced as a family or among friends, from March to November (make sure to check the opening times on the website).
