The Fort: The trail through fort Aubin-Neufchâteau will introduce you to the various galleries of the structure, as well as the fort’s key sites such as the battle stations and the underground barracks.
Learn more about the secret weapons tests carried out by the German army in 1941-42 and see the remains of the bunker-busting Röchling shells (unique in the world).
Bring good shoes, warm clothes and a flashlight. You will have to take a 160-step staircase. This visit requires an average physical condition. Very difficult access for people with reduced mobility.
The Museum: To continue the visit, the guide will take you to the Fort Museum on the first floor of the municipal school - rue Colonel d'Ardenne 4 - which is full of military equipment and personal objects evoking the memory of the soldiers' lives.
