Fort d'Evegnée is one of the 12 forts that make up the fortified position of Liège, built between 1888 and 1892 according to General Brialmont's plans.
Entirely made of unreinforced concrete, a new material for the time, rather than masonry, it was heavily bombarded on WW1 during the Battle of Liège and at the beginning of the Second World War.
It is currently used by a private company as an industrial site for rocket propulsion testing.
