La Brasserie Belge is a specialist craft brewery. We make high-quality beers for our own brand (La Belgicus®), as well as for other brands, custom orders and events.
We use short supply chains to source our ingredients wherever possible, and we’re planning to launch a wide range of organic beers – each brewed to perfection and to a consistent standard.
We can produce the equivalent of more than 10,000 standard 330 ml bottles a week. We use bottle conditioning for most of our beers, but we can also work with an isobaric filling machine. The story behind La Brasserie Belge is one of teamwork – a coming-together of people with complementary skillsets who love what they do.
Our master brewer designs our recipes with passion.
He’s always had a keen eye for a well-brewed beer. After completing his pharmacy studies – with flying colours, no less – he decided to turn his talents to brewing, enrolling on a course to learn the fundamentals.
He then spent several years perfecting the craft, building up expertise that he happily shares with other Belgian brewers. He worked for a number of breweries, where his pharmacy training gave him an expert edge recognised by his peers.
In 2016, he met Michel and Bruno – not brewers, but tasters who share his passion for beer.
Michel, a designer and marketing expert, is the custodian of the La Belgicus brand. He also shares his passion with the beer-lovers who enjoy our products.
Bruno is a scientist-turned-entrepreneur who’s always harboured a dream of brewing his own beer. He keeps a close watch on the operations side of the business and brings his unique experience to our new products.
Dark Coal: our sweet milk stout. Gold medal winner at BrasséArt 2019 (best dark beer).
Light and refreshing. An intense black colour obtained by brewing special and roasted malts, Dark Coal is distinguished by its creamy texture with aromas of coffee or mocha.
The creamy head is reminiscent of cappucino. The addition of artisanal “Sirop de Liège”, a local sweet speciality, gives it an aftertaste of apple and pear.
Ideal with a chocolate dessert, grilled meat or a good-quality cheese – or simply enjoyed on its own.
High fermentation. Style: Milk stout, sweet stout. 5.5%.
Gold: gold medal winner at BrasséArt 2019 (best light ale).
The clever combination of several malts gives this beer a golden colour. Its moderate alcohol content, slightly hoppy taste, spicy notes of coriander and citrus accents will tickle your taste buds. Enjoy on its own or with white meat, pork and lamb.
High fermentation. Style: Belgian pale ale. 6%.
Red: refreshing fruit beer. Launch: spring 2019.
A beer for everyone: sweet, light and very refreshing. Dominated by fruit, inspired by locally grown strawberries. Spices and hops make this beer a surprising and irresistible combination.
Style: Strawberry ale. 5.3%.
